Did you know that 80% of the money raised by successful eSighters are crowdfunded?
Starting your own crowdfunding page gives your family, friends, and community a single place to show support for your eSight Journey. Crowdfunding is simple and extremely effective—just be sure to keep sharing your page!
Unlike many other crowdfunding platforms, eSight’s Giving Platform is entirely free, and will not charge fees to any of your donors. The sooner you sign up and create a crowdfunding page, the quicker you'll be able to receive donations!
Service clubs (Lions Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, The Knights of Columbus, etc.) have given hundreds of thousands of dollars to eSight fundraisers over the years. Reach out to the service clubs in your community, share your unique story, and do not hesitate to ask for their support in getting your eSight. Lions have typically been the most helpful!
It helps to have already raised some money through crowdfunding or other avenues - this way, service clubs can feel assured that you are committed to getting eSight.
Reach out to the leader of your Place of Worship and ask for their support. Places of Worship have supported hundreds in their path to eSight by donating as much as they could, hosting fundraising events, and sharing eSight Giving Pages with members.
There are incredibly powerful grants available specifically for applicants under the age of 17.

Employers are responsible for providing reasonable accommodations to the point of undue hardship. Do not hesitate to ask your employer if they will purchase your eSight or contribute to it partially. We recommend compiling all the right information to brief your manager on your amazing eSight Experience, and asking them to help you with the process of having your eSight covered.
Private insurers and vocational rehabilitation, while hit or miss, sometimes help cover eSight on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to a member of our affordability team to learn more.
Numerous state agencies offer low-interest loans specifically for the purchase of assistive technologies like eSight. Many eSighters have taken out a low-interest loan to cover the entire purchase price of eSight.
Events are incredibly effective ways of bringing large numbers of people who can help you along your eSight Journey. Plan a fun outing (ie. concert, art show) and charge admission, ask a local restaurant to set aside half of their sales on a given night for your cause, run a raffle among members of your local club, host a spaghetti dinner for your neighbours, or host a silent auction with your classmates...there truly is no shortage of event ideas to raise money!
