COLLECTION OF INFORMATION

Information You Provide to Us

The Application does not collect any information from you directly and does not require you to submit any information in order to use the Application. Optional anonymous surveys may be presented to you from time to time, although you are not required to participate, and the results are anonymized. In addition, if you choose to leave a review on the relevant Apple Appstore or Google Play Store page for the Application, we may have access to publicly available identifying information contained in your review. Relatedly, you may also provide us with additional information should you choose to contact us for support regarding the Application.

Information We Collect Automatically

We automatically receive certain information when you use the Application only if you opt-in to the collection of such information via your operating system settings:

• Log Information: We may receive aggregated log files from your use of the Application, including crash logs, log event time stamps, and application performance logs. This information is sent directly to your operating system provider, and we do not receive it, unless your settings enable the disclosure of such data with app developers. You may also choose to send us certain log information on an aggregate level if you enable this in your operating software settings.
• Device Information: We may also receive information about the device you install the Application on,such as your device model, operating system and Application version.

USE OF INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, improve, and develop new products and services, including to debug and repair errors in our Application and to send you in-app notices and/or surveys. We also use the information we collect to:

• Detect, investigate, and help prevent security incidents and other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and help protect the rights and property of Gentex and others;
• Comply with our legal and financial obligations;
• Create or receive de-identified, anonymized or aggregated information.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We share data in the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this policy:

• We may disclose personal data if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
• We may share personal data if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Gentex, our users, the public, or others.
• We share personal data with our lawyers and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.
• We may share personal data in connection with, or during negotiations concerning, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
• Personal data is shared between and among Gentex and our current and future parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries and other companies under common control and ownership.
• We share personal data with your consent or at your direction.

TRANSFER OF INFORMATION TO THE UNITED STATES AND OTHER COUNTRIES

Gentex is based in the United States and we process and store information in the U.S. and Canada. Therefore, we and our service providers may transfer your information to, or store or access it in, jurisdictions that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.

Application Information

If you wish to deactivate your Application, you can delete the Application from your mobile device and you may also contact us at the address listed at the end of this notice, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes.

Data Retention

We store personal data for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other legitimate business purposes, including to meet our legal, regulatory, or other compliance obligations.

• We may collect personal information about consumers under the age of 16 if such personal information is provided by their parent or guardian. We do not otherwise knowingly sell, or share personal information about consumers under the age of 16.

Your Privacy Rights

Opting Out of Targeted Advertising, Sharing, and Sales

We do not “sell” or “share” personal information collected or provide through the Application or use suchinformation for “targeted advertising” as defined under the law that applies to you.

Access, Deletion, and Correction

Depending upon where you reside, you may have the right to (1) request to know more about and access your personal information, including in a portable format, (2) request deletion of your personal information, and (3) request correction of inaccurate personal information. We may verify your request by asking you to provide information related to your recent interactions with us, such as providing information about your Application version.

Authorized Agents

If you reside in a state that provides you this right, you can designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy rights request on your behalf. We may ask authorized agents to submit proof of their authority to make the request, such as a valid power of attorney or proof that they have signed permission from the individual who is the subject of the request. In some cases, we may contact the individual who is the subject of the request to verify his or her own identity or confirm the authorized agent has permission to submit the request. Nondiscrimination

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App without supervision. If you believe that your child provided their personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected]. If you are under 16 years of age, you can use the App with parental supervision.
